Goresoerd, who is recognized as a force to be reckoned with, is a band that undoubtedly belongs to the upper echelons of Estonia’s metal scene, is stylistically diverse and powerful, and doesn’t show any mercy at their concerts. Their music isn’t about butterflies or flowers. It’s gloomy, dark and unwavering metal, pulling the listeners into a deathly cold chokehold and making them gasp for air. Stylistically, Goresoerd combines heavier music genres from death to grind and from death school to groove metal.
The band has released six full-length albums, latest of them Kain (2019) - nominated for "Metal Album of the Year" at Estonian Music Awards and Inkvisiitor (2024) - won "Metal Album of the Year" at Estonian Music Awards. Goresoerd has achieved pretty much everything a metal band can achieve in their homeland, in addition to nominations and awards, the band has played at all the biggest festivals and clubs in Estonia and has also visited Finland several times, for example at Tuska, Rockfests and clubs, most recently in late 2024.
